Venezuelan fans of Spanish singer Alejandro Sanz’s lite-rock crooning and oil-drenched locks are sure to be disappointed to find out that the musician’s Venezuelan concert has been canceled. Sanz was originally set to play a concert on Valentine’s Day, after the cancellation of a show this past November.
This all probably has nothing to do with this or with Sanz’s previous announcement that he “doesn’t like” President Hugo “El Sexy” Chavez or that Chavez’s long-time friend and ally, Fidel Castro’s, hero Che once said, “Send all the musicians to cut cane; they are all lazy bastards.” While we don’t care much for the political leanings or opinions of entertainers, we care even less what Che thinks of musicians.

You’re right, Che was an asshole… I am sure if he would have been plain ugly, nobody would have remembered him…..

I think everybody should say “No Mas” to Sanz’s music. He sings like he has trouble taking a dump. I like to listen to a lot of Spanish singers (Nacho Vegas, Mikel Erentxun, Quique Gonzalez, Enrique Bunbury, et al) but I can’t stomach Flamenco music and Sanz sounds like a Flamenco singer.
