Barack Obama’s Church Seems Like A Friendly Place To Practice Liberation And Alliteration With Pastor Jeremiah Wright
13 March 2008, 4:40 PM. By Daniel Mauser
Trinity Church, Barack Obama’s place of worship, is a Christian Church with a focus on community and an emphasis on African culture and outreach. (Unlike someone. Call your abuelita! After all, she has a Blackberry. Audacious and bodacious!) And that’s all well and good, but what pushes Trinity Church into the realms of the truly amazing is their promo video. Not only do they share our awe-stricken adoration of alliteration, their Senior Pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright is a lean, mean, liberating machine. Additionally, their background music and graphics are reminiscent of the quality family sitcoms of which we were so fond during those halcyon days of our childhood in the early 90s. Sigh. Thank you, Trinity Church. You have brought us back to a time and a place.
