Teen scream! American Idol producers not only hold the fate of David Archuleta’s music career in their hands, they also have the power to stop him from attending his junior prom. Our Chuleta’s official Fan Blast has the report and you can practically hear the editor is a fourteen year-old girl spewing saliva through her retainer:
Never in the history of American Idol history has such an event become even bigger than the show itself. Fan Blast reveals the date of David’s High School Junior Prom at Murray HS to be Saturday, April 26th. And if you thought last night’s song choice brought some drama into the picture, you ain’t seen nothing yet.
To pull off such a mighty task, American Idol must agree to allow David to take a leave of absence from the show. And if the show producers agree, how will that affect his valuable rehearsal time in which his performance comes just three days after on national television.
How will it affect his performance time in which his performance comes just three days after! We don’t know! Says one commenter calledJan the Fanarchuleta:
They need to let him go because your junior and senior proms will both be something you’ll remember all your life and you only get that one chance to attend such an event.
Kids, kids. Let us be the ones to burst your bubbles: Prom actually sucks. Your expectations are too high and you’ll either end up throwing up on your dress or having terrible sex. Wait. Are we projecting? You know, if David does show up at the prom, the ensuing excitement could result in a mass de-virginization for the entire junior class of Murray High. ZOMG!!!
It will be a JUNIOR PROM of EPIC PROPORTIONS should DAVID ARCHULETA attend [David Archuleta Fan Blast]

Prom is seriously overblown…. I had mine last year and all I remember was that I rode around in a car with a Smith College license plate.

jr prom? they are making a big deal about jr prom? that is so retarded.
DAVID take it from me …only go to the after parties for drugs and free beer!!

He might as well just stay at the show….if he went to the prom, they’d end up turning him into some sideshow asking him to sing the whole night..and his giggly ass wouldn’t be able to say no…which would also strain his voice…compromising his performance the next week. Prom sucks. I double dated with a friend and we did the switch-a-roo with our dates and my date (who my friend ended up hooking up with that night) popped out a child 9 months later. Phewww, talk about dodging the bullet. Don’t go dude!

My parents were “volunteer helpers” at my prom and that blew! So you know crazy stage dad Jeff will be there. David, skip it!
In other news… did anyone else watch American Idol last night? Wasn’t it interesting that several people throughout the show asked if David actually chose that unknown song? It seemed as if they were trying to get David to admit that daddy dearest chose it.

Jr prom sucks and i agree with jrod. You just get more stress from that. All i hava to say is: STAY AT SHOW!

I really hope he stays at the show.. David, take it from me, high school prom is nothing you will care about later and if you go I guarantee you there will be some reason you will regret ever making that horrible decision, ESPECIALLY if it affects the show.. How could you risk it.. for Junior Prom!? OMG and there’s even next year if you really can’t miss that nightmare.
