Taking a little break from their comfortable spots on the D List, Mario Lopez and Eva Longoria went out for lunch to celebrate Eva’s 53rd birthday. Mario took the opportunity to gift his friend with an expensive Cartier necklace, in full view of various strategically placed cameras. Fascinating, no? Well, turns out the entire thing was a prank for Ashton Kutcher’s new hot mess, “Pop Fiction,” a show that sets out to trick the paparazzi and media by staging ridiculous situations featuring celebrities people stopped caring about at least two years ago.
So there you go. Mario Lopez and Eva Longoria did something we didn’t care about when we first read it, and it wasn’t even real. This is almost as interesting as that time we almost put hemorrhoid cream on our toothbrush, but noticed what we were doing just in time.
Is this a good idea for a show? A good way to get back at tabloids, snakry blogs and the paparazzi? Or another lame experiment in self-absorption on the part of celebrities?
Another Ashton Kutcher Prank [I’m Not Obsessed]

I have to say, in my defense, that had Daniel not pitched me this story, I never would have covered it and thus the reason it was only relegated to a Watchando, albeit, the top story. in other news..i feel so like connected to Ashton Kutcher! Like he personally reached out and touched me with his hepatitis.

And in a few days, that “shooting” that occurred outside the Gbee office will be revealed as a prank, hopefully.

I’ve considered that possibility. Although all the other pranks actually had “stars” present. Plus Kate Hudson is probably too A List for Ashton Kutcher’s lame shows.

I thought it was kinda funny that all the tabloids and gossip blogs jumped on the “Paris Hilton and her Guru” thing, and I ended up seeing that it was a prank they pulled on this show…
