Mexican Emo Kids Stage Protests To Take Back Sunday
Prompted by a wave of like really harsh things posted on message boards and aired on Mexican network Televisa - from declaring that emo music kind of blows and that scene kids are fairly ridiculous, to labeling them as “gay” or worthy of being beat up or exterminated completely - emo kids are organizing demonstrations in the streets of Guadalajara and Mexico, DF. Which, were it not for the unflattering outdoor lighting, would make for a pretty choice set of MySpace profile pics.
Our favorite part of this whole thing though, other than a reminder that we’re out of feminine hygiene products? The story’s accompanying comments:

Emo is a good look for people with mostly dark hair…mine is fairly straight, and so is most of my family’s and friends and lotsa people I know in Mexico…yeah, not the point of this story, but eh.
As much as I like/dislike any organization, I don’t think violence is the answer.

i thought all mexicans were emo….that would explain all the banda music about cheating womanz, and manas songs of the world ending, but hey, atleast we can pick on the chubby kid who wears purple eye shadow and too much hairspray!
