I live in the UK and only 23. I have only just seen the footage on the tv. I think it is an a admiral thing what THOMAS done for his family , but most importantly, for his wife.
If anyone with a problem with THOMAS, obviously wasn’t listening to him when he said that HE was LEGALLY a man. I does not matter how you are born as long as you are happy with yourself, nothing or no one’s views matter.
I believe that Nancy and Thomas will make great parents. With Nancy as mum and Thomas as dad. At the end of the day, as long as the little Susan is happy, that is all that matters. I would like to wish all best and congradulations on the second pregnancy.
If the shoe was on the other foot, you people who so strongly disapprove, would want the support from the nation. Grow up. Its not your sad little life is Thomas and Nancy’s

I cant believe any of you would even have anything to say about this. As long as he’s not just doing it for the hell of it, get over it people. At least HE is MAN enough to actually go through with it. Now all you selfish people out there who think they can go on rambling about how much of a freak he is and stuff, YOU might as well get rid of your attitude before IT gets too out of hand. Hmmm…I was taught in school that if you have a vagina, you are a woman, if you have a penis, you are a man. How is it possible for a man to have a baby? IT’S NOT POSSIBLE…Does Mr. Beatie have a penis? Does Mr. Beatie still have his vagina? thomas is just a confused soul who needs his/her brain reordered. oh and for your information, thomas is a woman and not a man. She was born a woman, and she will die a woman and no operation on this earth can change that fact. I wont waste my sympathy on Thomas( he is clearly a publicity hungry twerp; some people would do anything just to get into the press or become famous), i pity the kid because he/she is going to have a messed up life. oh and for those who think this whole scenario is acceptable and is morally right, u r just as sick as thomas is and u need urgent psychiatric attention. When a man who was actually born with testicles and a penis and no uterus gets pregnant, then there can be a headline “First Pregnant Man”.

I think Tommy just wants publicity. And person who was born with a uterus giving birth is not that rare.

HEY! If a woman who had her uterus removed, got a new uterus, and then became pregnant, I would be more surprised at that.

i’m not a person who judges anyone’s life style choices, i have many gay and lesbian friends, and i am straight. i believe you can get something good out of every creed but i think you shouldn’t over do it. i take things lightly and let people be. im an extremely open minded person, here is my issue with this situation:

i don’t see anything wrong with this “thomas” wanting to be called a man or seen as a man in society, hey, that’s his/her choice and people should respect that. but i also believe that “thomas” should come to grips with reality and understand that no matter how many injections he/she received, or what breast cutting operation he/she had, thomas was naturally born a woman.

no matter what thomas does to his body, nothing, not even modern medicine and experiment will change the fact that thomas is a biological woman.

i can call thomas a man if that is what he/she prefers, and his/her wishes should be respected, but nature will never call thomas a man,
and nothing will ever stop me from thinking in the back of my head,

” Thomas likes to be called a man but he was really born a woman”

so with all that said, i dont think thomas should be saying that he is the “first pregnant man” there is no such thing, and there will never be such a thing, maybe he can say “i am the first pregnant man who used to be a woman and still have my woman reproductive organs”

no matter how open minded people are or would like to be, or would like to change things, no matter what, you CANNOT change how nature made you.

if nature made you a gay man or woman, then live your life happy being gay.
if you take injections as a woman and grow hair and end up looking like the man you wish you were…not problem…enjoy!

but dont fool yourself as to what you TRULY are, because you will never truly be happy if you don’t accept what nature gave you.

with that said…i wish the thomas and his/her wife luck.

kids aren’t easy!

Hey, this is easier to understand than you think. It all boils down to biology. Let’s look at the big picture: here we have someone who, after having both breasts removed & taking some extra testosterone that caused her to grow body hair, thinks herself to be a dude. Her wife couldn’t get pregnant so they opted for the assistance of a sperm bank. A pregnancy resulted.

Now, let’s look at the biological factor, which is actually quite simple a concept to grasp in this case: she has the XX (female) chromosomes, not the XY (male) ones. She never had a complete hysterectomy OR a fake dick constructed; in other words, she still has her complete reproductive system & female genitalia. Want it bluntly? If I had my tits sliced off, took some artificial dude hormones, and utilized the services of an anonymous sperm bank, I would be exactly what she is: a mutilated pregnant chick.

I’ve read on a few sites that, oh, it’s not “what gender you are, it’s what gender you IDENTIFY with!” Well, I can chop my nose and ears off, have an eye lift, shave my head, and walk around naked proclaiming to be an alien from another planet. Does that make me one? Noooo…it makes me one very fucked up earthling.

Anyone who calls this person a “he” is in need of refresher courses in highschool biology. If you have the woman chromosomes and the woman parts, you are a woman…END OF STORY. Getting rid of your boobs and sporting a 5 o’clock shadow just doesn’t cut it, sorry.

And her soon-to-be offspring? Man, oh man…that’s gonna be one fucked up kid. When you’ve got issues before you’re even born, there’s a problem.
