We love movies about talking dogs, because it makes our acid trip seem like a fun romp through a friendly cartoon movie until we wake up naked on our neighbor’s stoop wearing a tinfoil hat. Anyway! That had very little to do with Beverly Hills Chihuahua, which should just be given an Oscar already for Best Everything. It comes out September 26. It stars Piper Perabo, Manolo Cardona and Jamie Lee Curtis and features the vocal talents of Andy Garcia, Placido Domingo, George Lopez, Salma Hayek, Edward James Olmos, Paul Rodriguez, Cheech Marin, Piolin and Drew Barrymore.

Hmm… We wonder which of those people will be playing chihuahuas. Any guesses? “50% Lover. 50% Warrior. 100% Chihuahua.” sounds exactly like our ex. The most charming thing about all of this though, is the comment below:

Hey y’all, I hate to be the devil’s advocate here but don’t judge a book by its cover. This could be pretty good. Granted, it looks silly but I’ll bet it has a happier ending than I Am Legend or The Mist. ;)

Happier? Maybe. More legendary? Absolutely.
