Former singer Britney Spears is reportedly in talks to have her own reality TV series. Since when have “Britney” and “reality” made any sense together?:
“She believes a reality show is a no-brainer. She can be herself and not have to study lines…Several production companies are interested in a Britney reality show and are willing to pay her millions.”
It is a no-brainer, yes. Her father, however, is decidedly against the idea:
Jamie thinks filming his troubled daughter’s daily life would make it difficult for her to maintain her tenous hold on mental stability and sobriety.
Now, we understand the appeal in watching reality TV shows as a guilty pleasure, mostly because it’s fairly obvious that they’re just a new, slightly less scripted way of turning the traditional sitcom format on its head. And that’s fine! But Britney Spears is a troubled person. She has a lot of problems and two small children that are being directly impacted by these problems on a daily basis. There is just no way we can drum up any interest or excitement from watching this woman continually destroy herself in front of cameras. For that sort of voyeuristic schadenfreude, we would rather watch COPS. At least they’re guaranteed to have a catchier theme song.

Further proof that Brit is our new Anna Nicole, since we tragically lost her a year ago (RIP Babyy Gurl).
Maybe Brit can be the new face of TrimSpa too!
