Coming Up Rosary: Florida Father Alonzo Burke Hit Daughters Because They Wouldn't Pray
Alonzo Burke of Jacksonville, Florida [Ed. note: @#%$!!!!!!] has been arrested for fighting his teen daughters because one of them would not pray. Nothing instills the love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ like a roundhouse kick to the face:
Alonzo Burke, 44, told investigators that he began pushing and hitting his 18-year-old daughter while he was driving her to school in the morning because she refused his instructions to pray, WJXT-TV, Jacksonville, Fla., reported Wednesday.
“The father asked the occupants of the car to begin to pray, the daughter said she didn’t want to pray,” Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Melissa Bujeda said.
He said the 18-year-old daughter returned the violence by punching him in the face.
Burke said he pulled the car into a convenience store parking lot where his 16-year-old daughter joined the brawl by grabbing him from behind while he was chasing his elder daughter.

The man hit his daughters because he has always hit his daughters, the actual immediate cause is irrelevant. It could have been anything: because the girls talked back, because the girls broke something, because the girls didn’t come home at the right time, etc. Being Hispanic and Catholic, or being from Florida, is not the cause of this either. Violence and overall assholeness knows no faith, creed, race, or ethnicity. Scandinavian Lutherans and Russian Orthodox Christians can beat their kids too.
Why are you guys giving attention to all these anti-Latino, anti-Catholic worthless news bits? Does every case of familial assault get reported by the UPI? Why did you think this one particular case got some press? Please! Sometimes (OK, all the time) I wish Guanabee was smarter and less navel gazing. How many times do we have to read about the crazy antics of Floridians and about the plight of girls with flat chests, eh Alex?
