Emilio Navaira Update: Emilio Out Of Intensive Care, Standing And Talking

Even more great news about Tejano superstar Emilio Navaira: It seems he’s made amazing progress since being upgraded from critical to fair condition on Wednesday which is no doubt the result of most of the old ladies in the southwestern United States lighting candles for him.

After being in such poor condition that doctors warned his family and fans that there was a probability he might not survive, Navaira is now talking and eating. He recently was able to write his name and stood up Thursday evening, Valadka said.

Navaira was in critical condition at Houston’s Memorial Hermann Hospital since March 23 when he crashed his tour bus into some partition barrels outside Houston. Now doctors report he is asking to go home. There’s still no word when he will actually be able to do that, but it certainly sounds like things are looking up.
