Manu Chao, Beck, And Others Officially Announced At ACL

Hey, the Austin City Limits Festival line-up is out. No Prince! Motherfuckers. We’re still trying to figure out who that was we heard on the mash up teaser. Meanwhile, you can go here to see the entire line-up with links to each artists’ music. Highlights (to us, anyway) include:

Looks like MySpace and their music player is firmly entrenched in this year’s promotion and we predict ACL is the new Coachella, soon to be preferred to SXSW by fans from outside Austin (locals have been avoiding SXSW pretty much since it began.) A regular Jose can’t even get into a SXSW showcase these days and our friend in Austin told us last night she’s renting out 2 rooms the week of ACL to cash in on the dough to be made.
