Morning Music Break: La Orquesta De Luz Brings You Arroz Con Salsa
16 April 2008, 9:00 AM. By Daniel Mauser
La Orquesta de Luz is a Japanese salsa band. And what more do you need to know, really? Go ahead and have some arroz con salsa for breakfast. Yes, it’s vaguely racist. But we think the awesomeness of this song outweighs all that.

OMG they’re from way back in the day. I remember them watching them on TV when I was a child. They were in that Siempre en Domingo show. The vocalist is fully fluent in Spanish too, she’s not just singing phonetically, she used to do interviews and such. I remember them from the late 80s/early 90s.
Vely enjorabre!!
(Was that racist? Ok, so it was…. BUT their Japanese name is , Orukesuta De Ra Rusu).
