MySpace Latino In Beta Launches Spicily

Because having two MySpace accounts (your actual one and your “I use this to talk to skeevy pervs named ‘T. Bone’” one) isn’t enough, MySpace has launched MySpace Latino, currently in Beta version. Spicy networking for the Latino in you / you’re in!
The site has the same functions and layout as that old, irrelevant gringo ‘Space, except it’s entirely in Spanish. Which is convenient for a lot of people, we’re sure, but is that really all that separates Latinos from non?
A quick glance through several members’ profiles show that we’re glad we never talk to people and that, other than default title and headers, their pages are all in English. The site promotes Spanish-language movies and musical acts but, then again, so too does the English version from time to time.
We’re not sure how this caters to Latinos, specifically, as opposed to people who speak Spanish. And, yes, there’s a difference. Then again, the site is still in its baby phase, so we’ll see how it all turns out if we remember it still exists.
On a positive note, it’s a relief to note an absence of 13-year-old chongas with glitter .gifs of Betty Boop dressed as a thug.

Nope, MySpace Latino only recently launched in Beta.
You’re right spandexx, it’s been around for a year or so in beta and now launching official - with a concert featuring Tego Calderon, Circo and Locos Por Juana - this week in MIA.
