Tricia Walsh-Smith Is Free To Make YouTube Videos. Free As A Bird Rising From The Ashes!
30 April 2008, 9:45 AM. By Daniel Mauser
Proving there is some justice in this crazy mixed-up world, a judge has granted YouTube’s favorite rising phoenix, Tricia Walsh-Smith, permission to continue making videos as her divorce proceedings, um. Proceed:
A Manhattan judge yesterday barred the peeved play wright - who’s made international headlines by venting about her divorce on YouTube - from filming her rants in her Park Avenue apartment, but both he and her husband’s lawyer acknowledged she can say whatever she wants to whomever she wants and broadcast it to the world.
Tricia, dressed demurely in a white coat, her hair, golden as the flaming wings of the mythical bird from which she draws her nickname, pulled back in a tasteful chignon, left the courtroom amidst a throng of reporters. She was seen to look upward, to her left, a quiet smile playing on her lips. “We go forth,” she whispered, softly. “We go forth. Bring the con-doms.”

You have the facts mixed up…..The judge didn’t “GRANT” Tricia “PERMISSION” to make videos. Tricia has a constitutional right to freedom of speech- the judge doesn’t have the power to take that away.
What DID happen is that the judge GRANTED Mr. Smith’s request for a temporary restraining order, thereby DENYING Tricia the right to have film crews and press into her apartment.
All in all, a victory for Mr. Smith, not the soon to be ex-Mrs.
