We’ve Fallen Hard For The Fall
16 April 2008, 9:45 AM. By Daniel Mauser
We are positively aqueef with excitement over this movie. It’s directed by Tarsem Singh, who made The Cell, which just so happens to be one of our favorite movies, despite Jennifer Lopez. So what’s The Fall about?:
Los Angeles, circa 1920‘s, a little immigrant girl (Catinca Untaru) finds herself in a hospital recovering from a fall. She strikes up a friendship with a bedridden man (Lee Pace) who captivates her with a whimsical story that removes her far from the hospital doldrums into the exotic landscapes of her imagination. Making sure he keeps the girl interested in the story he interweaves her family and people she likes from the hospital into his tale.
Yes, yes. And yes. This is what we’ll be doing May 9th. Since you asked.

Sounds like a cheap man’s Pans Labrynith….
After watching the trailer, I will eat my words…
I saw this movie at the premiere in Toronto over a year and a half ago… I am happy it’s finally getting released. In spite of the spectacular visuals it’s going to be a tough sell to most people, it’s undeniably an Art Film. Everyone who’s interested should make sure to see it on opening weekend, because it probably won’t be in the theaters very long…

Um, HOLY SHIT!
I love that so much I take back every negative comment I have ever put on this blog.
