Why Latins Make Better Lovers: In Venezuela, Baywatch Is Kid’s Programming
8 April 2008, 1:30 PM. By Guanabee Staff
A television station in Caracas called Televen recently decided to pull The Simpsons from their 11 am lineup after viewers complained it was not an appropriate show for children who are watching at that hour. Fair enough, we guess. But what did they decide to replace cantankerous little Bart with? Can-boob-erous Babewatch babes! Babewatch Hawaii which ran from 1999-2001 (like you don’t already know) was an evolution of the original Baywatch after the show changed locations. At its height, the Baywatch franchise was syndicated in 148 countries around the world. Ah, the pride of an American export. So far, Televen reports, there have been no complaints about it being in the late morning time slot. And no word on whether The Simpsons will live to see another hour of the network’s programming day.
