On episode 6 of “Viva Hollywood,” the cast was challenged to write and act in their very own commercials for Jarritos soda. Product placement: check! Guest judge Daisy Fuentes got to act all legendary, doling out advice, because in this universe, she’s got talent. In the above scene, Geovannie and Gisel’s commercial results in the most over-the-sombrero depiction of Latin stereotypes we’ve seen on the show yet. And that’s saying something. Not surprisingly, the team was rewarded for their spectacle when Geovannie was named winner of the competition while Roseny, from the opposing team, was sent to the duel and eventually kicked off the show. Shoulda wore fruit on your head, Roseny!

I thought Daisy Fuentes was good in that episode. She’s actually done many major commercials, and she was the most recognizable name to appear on that silly show. I really think she’s one of the few Latinas we can look up to and be proud of. She’s turned it into a business with her clothing line ( really cute, I’ve bought some pieces). Not that I care all that much, I just think we should call it as it is. Credit where credit is due.
