Christina Aguilera Gave Jordan Bratman A "Possibly-Abusey-Father-And-Husband-Test-Run" Before Marriage

Nervous after having been raised in an abusive household, Christina Aguilera made sure to screen Jordan Bratman before agreeing to marry his ass. The screening did not require her to dress him in leather chaps and feed him bits of dry toast for four months, which is a shame:

The pop star tells Us Weekly, “We had many conversations before [getting married], and I really ensured that I put myself in the position to marry someone who was not going to repeat the cycle of abuse with my child and what I had endured as a child.”
Clearly, Jordan passed Christina’s rigorous test, as the couple married in 2005 and had their first child, Max Liron Bratman, this past January. “I knew that my husband is not the type to have violent tendencies, and he would never hurt me,” says Christina.

Now, what, exactly, did this “rigorous test” consist of? Because we’re fairly certain women don’t up and marry men they suspect might be capable of beating them or their children. Did she make sure he didn’t have a bad temper by constantly trying to piss him off? Did she check his history to make sure he hadn’t googled “punching Christina Aguilera in face how to?” Curious.
