Working on the internet, we’re often exposed to the bottom rung of society. As such, we have little to no hope for the future. Then the internet drops this little gem onto our laps and we giggle with glee - and hope. Meet Kierra Bell. She’s thirteen and in eighth grade, which means she’s more savvy and poised than the average city council member. As an example, watch this video of her laying a verbal smack-down on Monica Conyers, the President Pro-Tem of the Detroit City Council who called the Council president “Shrek” during an argument.

Wait…is that the Charles Le Duff of the NYTimes who wrote about leaving his job and being a stay-at-home dad while his wife supported the family on a middle school counselor’s salary? And now he’s working covering the Detroit City Council in a Zoot Suit? What happened? It must not have been good.

Anyway, Monica Conyers’ is married to John Conyers, who’s very elderly (almost 80) and is actually a legend of the Civil Rights era and the most senior African American member of congress. Where did he pick her up? I don’t think I want to know about this either. Like I said, trashy.

@ yuk: She’s also wife #75, no? Or #3. Whatever.

John Conyers is married to this thing? Knowing how soft spoken he is, I bet he doesn’t get a word in edgewise at home! She could definitely use some lessons in class and professionalism, considering. “But you’re an adult!” Priceless!

OMG! That little girl is my hero. It reminds me of every argument I have with my step-mother.
