It strikes me that Eva Mendes is the hot piece of brown trim for any other movie-star miracle who isn’t brown himself—like Denzel Washington in TRAINING DAY, and Joaquim Phoenix in WE ARE THE NIGHT. In both of these films, she’s naked and horny (aren’t all Latinas naked and horny, after all? It’s what adds to their spice, no?). If anyone could think of any others, it would be helpful. This is one of those running jokes, like Bruce Willis having blood on his shirt in every single film he’s ever appeared in.
