Jessica Alba Is Fit, Uncool

Womb-troll-laden Jessica Alba admits she’s a lazy, gluttonous robot in the upcoming issue of Fit Pregnancy magazine:

“At the end of the day I am so tired I can’t function or speak and my eyes glaze over,” Alba, 27, tells Fit Pregnancy magazine for its June/July issue, “but this pregnancy has seriously mellowed me out, which is nice. I’ve been going, going, going for so long, it feels nice not to take things so seriously.”
And though she finds herself craving citrus products during her pregnancy, when it comes to what she’ll allow as a mother, she says: “I don’t want to be my child’s best friend; I want to be a mom. But I do want my child to come to me when they have problems and need to talk, so it’s going to be about treading that line.”

Orange you glad you’re not Jessica? Chortle. We must admit we totally endorse her take on child-rearing, though. Not only do we have no desire to be our possible, future child’s friend we also have no inclination to be in the same room as said snot-nosed, small, dirty midget-thing.

Tell us: Is it hard to draw a line between being a “friend” and a “mom?” Or are the two always mutually exclusive?

Is your mom your friend when she helps you set up grandpa and take out the back levers in his la-z-boy so you can watch him do a reverse catapult?

I didn’t think so neither.
