Marche Taylor Learns That Trashy Prom Dresses Lead To Handcuffs

Marche Taylor is a high school senior who just wanted to wear her beautiful, gold-colored booby dress to prom but was banned from attending because some people are simply incapable of understanding fashion:
She was told her custom-made dress violated the school dress code.
“She shook her head, she was like ‘you are not getting into this prom,’” said Taylor. “We were arguing back and forth because I wanted to know why I can’t get into my prom.”
Even after offering to provide more cover, Taylor was denied access to the final soiree of the school year.
At that point, Taylor said she was furious. She said if she couldn’t get in, she wanted her money back.
Things got so bad that someone called the police. Officers showed up, handcuffed her and escorted her out.
Mean! Prom is a time to shine, even if that takes body glitter and sequined titty tassels. Now, do share. What did you wear to prom? Was it tackylicious?

That dress was unappropriated for the prom. She act as if she was going to the Strip club. That was a very tasteless attire. Who ever custom made that outfit for a prom should go to jail as well. We are these young girls moral. Do she have any respect for herself? I guess not. Where are the parent at. I know her mother didn’t let her come out there like that. If so she need to be shot. I don’t think she should get a dime back, she knew the dress was to short and bare to much skin. The nerve of her to get this much attention. She deserve no money and no respect from anybody.
…so is she getting her money back?
What are we teaching our daughters to make them think that this is acceptable and cute? It’s trashy and not flattering at all.
I agree, the dress is not for the prom. Her mother and father should be ashamed. And as far as her money back, i don’t think she should get it back because she broke the rules. I am surprised no one began to throw dollar bills at her because she looks like a stripper.
Wow people. Why all the hate? Sure this is a tacky and ugly dress but its a HIGH SCHOOL PROM not a 1) church event 2) actual graduation ceremony 3) Black Tie Gala for Unicef, geeez, lighten up people… This young woman is at least GRADUATING from high school. that’s something to celebreate. it’s her prom night to remember too. She should be allowed to enjoy it — or at the very least get her money back. I personally would never be caught dead in something like that but everyone has different styles and different attitudes about what they think they look good in. If she thinks she is hot shite in that dress, well, I say, DO THE DAMN THING GIRL! If there’s ever an appropriate time in one’s life to where a dress that scandalous, it would have to be when you are a youth (read: not old and saggy and tired). Besides, why are people offended by what others wear anyway? Who really cares?
…also, i am all for dress codes in school. dress codes can help to foster a safe and non-disruptive environment for students to focus on learning and their coursework.
but this is the prom, she is not jeopardizing anyone’s education by having a flashy gold dress at a party.
WOW. i would be so pissed if i were her. If that’s not appropriate attire for prom, it sure aint appropriate atire for the holding cell the cops prolly threw her in!
LASTLY, to Lisa, um, how are you gonna comment on someone’s morals when you suggest this girl’s mother should be jailed and shot? Execution? For a tacky dress? REALLY? Seems a lil harsh, no?
ok so the school said it violated school dress code… but what about those girls that wear mostly strapless dresses, spagetti straps, and some who wear mini dresses and/or showing too much of their chichis?
when i was in school all of that was against the dress code.
and i’m sure there were a few girls at this prom wearing those types of dress and were still able to get it.
It’s innappropriate, period. Welcome to the real world where there are dress codes. Dress codes apply to all school sponsored events. I’m not sure why anyone would want to defend a girl who thinks it’s ok to wear stripperwear to a prom.
celebrities wear that kinda shit all the time. Or has everyone forgotten that thing JLo wore that time to that place?
we can’t really get mad at her for doing it and then pay good money to fawn of celebrities in trashy magazines doing the same thing.

So when she offered to pin the dress up to cover her midriff, this was STILL unacceptable? Not according to the “dress code” Ya know… I have a sneaking suspicion that this “dress code” never saw the light of day before it was published when the story broke….

Failure to adhere to the following guidelines may results in you and your guest not being admitted to the prom.
1. Only one inch of the midsection can be shown.
2. Bare backs are acceptable.
3. Slits in the dresses can be no more than three inches above the knee.
4. See through fabrics should not be in places which reveal private body parts.
5. Proper undergarments must be worn.
6. Tennis shoes of any kind are unacceptable.
Note: Please remember that this is a black tie affair. Guidelines printed are for all guests in attendance.

My God She is a Senior!!!! The Bible says Judge ye not unless Ye Be Judged. We have all done some things so don’t like you have not. Madison is taking this to farr. I was at a award ceremony and students could participate because of no pantyhose on or the guys had on the wrong shirt. This is not the commencement is just the award ceremony. They are really focusing on the wrong things. This is really ridiculous and just give her, her money back.
The police state mind-set, force people to dress in a particular way. Have dress codes - those who do not adhere to the dress code jail them. Let people have fun. Supposing these girl were not at a prom and dress that way all the time wherever they are - would they still be jailed? Intolerance is growing so are restrictions.There is no freedom - only free to do within the limits of the ‘dress code’ who sets these dress codes? Why have them? Let people be.
