Morning Music Break: Molotov’s “Guacala Que Rico” Is Bittersweet For Women

Molotov’s latest video for “Guacala Que Rico” is almost as delicious as, say, a changuich a la chichona. We’ll overlook the fact that they aim for “progressive politics” (we loathe the term “progress,” but that’s another matter entirely) at the expense of women but… Actually, we won’t overlook it. We love you, Molotov. So why you got to play us like that? Women as sex objects to ogle? Women giving lap dances in lingerie? Women crawling around on all fours, albeit under a happy rainbow?

We’d love to continue buying your albums, but, sadly, until you represent women, both in your lyrics and on your videos, as something other than a pair of tetas and a cucaracha, we’re going to have to boycott. We do like the NSFW teddy bears, though.
