Now That’s Cold: Illegals Won’t Be Allowed To Evacuate From South Texas During Hurricanes

Hey, illegal aliens in South Texas! Here’s hoping there are no deadly hurricanes down there this summer because, according to the Border Patrol, no one’s evacuating your wet backside out of there:
Anyone who is not a citizen or is not a legal resident will be held in specially designed areas in the [Rio Grande] Valley that are “made to withstand hurricanes,” said Dan Doty, a Border Patrol spokesperson for the Valley sector.
Of course, he only shared this information with the public after his officers were spotted by a photojournalist shaking down old people during a mock evacuation training.
Border Patrol agents could be seen checking the identification and citizenship of the mock evacuees, many of whom were senior citizens from the Las Palmas Community Center. After [a Rio Grande] Guardian reporter started taking pictures of this part of the exercise, he was asked to stop and leave the area.
But we’re sure this is all perfectly ethical in a Guantanamo Bay sort of way.
