Have you guys heard that last night at the Sex And The City movie premiere at Radio City Music Hall in New York, hundreds of young Scary Sadshaws™ were lined up with tickets in hand for like a whole avenue block (that’s like 2-1/2 regular blocks) and were largely turned away? An actual Scary commented on El Gawko with a first hand account of her Sadshaw tale:
Yup - the line was all the way to Fifth Avenue and they came out and told everyone to go home. It took a while for the message to sink in. Several hundred (a thousand?) dazed girls, decked out in their Carrie-inspired best, wandered off silently into the sunset. I was a bit surprised at first - RCMH is a gigantic venue and I wondered just how much Paramount had to overbook in order to have so many people to turn away, but then realized it was a giant photo op and there would be no such thing as bad publicity in this case: “SATC premiere mobbed by thousands of die-hard fans!!!” Just sorry I wasted cab money, but chalk it up to being part of an “NYC moment”…
We hate everyone associated with this movie—especially the fans—but the sad truth is that we hate them because they’re kind of sweet girls who go on believing in a dream. Like Charlotte! (That was a meta joke because we hate it when people compare real life to the show.) Anyways, this Mean Girl trick is just not cool. What say we all head over to Darren Star’s house and throw Manolo Blahniks through his window? We’ll bring the cosmos!

If this were the premiere of “Dirty Girls Social Club” the movie, there would have been looting in the Rainbow Room for sure.
