A hundred years ago, we reported that NBC programming wunderkind Ben Silverman—he who brought “Ugly Betty” to America—has purchased the rights to another Latin American telenovela hit, “Sin Tetas No Hay Paraiso.” The story of a teenage prostitute in Colombia who makes up her mind to buy some bigger tits to attract a wealthy drug dealer, but then ends up dead (whoops, spoiler), reached a record-breaking 6.9 million Colombians during it’s initial run. Unfortunately for English-only speakers, though, it seems NBC feels they can’t handle tetas. Original plans to launch the show on the network have been changed and the company plans to air it instead on their Spanish-language property Telemundo where the sex-obsessed Latin viewers are.
