American Son: Does Oscar De La Hoya's 'Frank And Touching' New Memoir Mention His Affinity For Bloomers?

AmericanSon.6.10.08.jpg

This almost slipped by us: Oscar De La Hoya wrote a book about his life called American Son and it’s out today! From the book description:

From Oscar De La Hoya, one of the most celebrated fighters in the history of boxing, comes a frank and touching memoir about achieving the American Dream: his rise to the top, the power of a solid work ethic, his mother’s painful death from cancer, the pitfalls of stardom, and a very personal take on what it means to be an American.

But is it personal enough to address, well you know. Chapter XIV “The Biggest Bra I Ever Saw” might answer that question. Or you could go ask him in person at his Nuestra Palabra: Latino Writers Having Their Say book signing in Houston on Sunday. What a Father’s Day treat. Full press release after the jump.

UPDATE: According to our brother site Machochip, and the New York Daily News, “photo experts” brought in by De La Hoya’s lawyers have concluded the infamous tranny photos of last year were indeed doctored. Yeah, that settles it in our minds. Because the only people more honest than hookers are lawyers.
