Beyond The Barrio: Two Men Kissing Over Mayo Is Kind Of Queer, Says The United Kingdom
24 June 2008, 5:45 PM. By Daniel Mauser
Heinz Deli Mayonnaise has decided to pull a commercial for its delicious, white, creamy, thick condiment after it created an uproar from the mayo-guzzling British public.
Oh, slather it on a hot dog and shove it in sideways, people. You don’t find this sort of silly intolerance in, say, Mexico. It’s a funny commercial and there’s nothing inherently disgusting about two slender, white men kissing. In a vat of mayonnaise. In slow motion. While Minnie Riperton’s “Lovin’ You” playing in the background.

That was as inoffensive as ham and cheese on white bread. WithOUT mayo!
I find this offensive, also very inappropriate esp. for children. Bravo to the parents in Britain who called them out on this.

@ lolai: Before you peace out, I’ve got to ask: What, exactly, do you find offensive about this? How does two men kissing — in real life or in a comedic advertisement — have anything at all to do with you or with your kids?
@ piruli
It is offensive to my religious beliefs. Also, it is not appropriate for my children who just want to watch cartoons, not a gay commercial.
i think common decency is being lost. peace ouuut.
