Friday Flatchback: Lookout Weekend, It’s Debbie Deb

As far as we can find there is no official “Lookout Weekend” video from Debbie Deb, so we’ll have to settle for this concert version she performed in Houston as part of her “Freestyle Bomb Tour 2007.” (That name sounds way cooler than this music.) Interesting footnote: According to Debbie Deb’s MySpace page, she dropped out of the biz back in the day because her record company refused to let her perform at her own concerts because of the way she looked and opted instead to use an impersonator á la Milli Vanilli. They also didn’t pay her. Nice. According to our friends from Los Angeles, “Lookout Weekend” was a mega chola hit back in the day. Personally, we say this music was the reggaeton of the eighties, but we suppose you gotta appreciate the skeez factor.
