Marisabel Rodriguez, Hugo Chavez’s ex-wife pictured above, has announced this week that she will run for mayor of her Venezuelan hometown with the opposition party Podemos. Rodriguez has been rather outspoken against Chavez’s shenanihans since the two divorced in 2004. Isn’t that always the way?

“Democracy” has been replaced with “nepotism, inefficiency and intolerance” in Venezuela under Chavez, she told reporters on Saturday.
