This morning on “The View,” Babs and the girls got to talking about Don Imus’ little racial faux pas yesterday regarding Dallas Cowboys cornerback Adam Jones. The consensus? That Don Imus is not dumb and would have to be crazy to make the mistake of saying something racist on-air again. [Ed. Note: Logic flaw!] Therefore, he must have been trying to make a point that Black people always get picked on, as he later claimed. With a man who has six arrests on his record in the past 3 years? But Whoopi and Barbara say he has a Black co-host and a Black producer. Yes, and Howard Stern has a Black, female cohost and we doubt anyone is running out to give him a NOW award. Barbara Walters admitted on the show that she hadn’t heard the clip, so we suggest she and everyone else take a listen because his tone pretty much says it all. What we hear is Imus pointing out that, once again, he has evidence of a Black man with an arrest record and anyone who calls him prejudiced is an idiot. But you decide for yourself. We’re more interested in the fact that all the microphone headsets on this show are race appropriate. You go with your politically correct selves, “The View” sound department!
