Jennifer Lopez made a magical appearance at a graduation for 8 year-old autistic students in Staten Island who chose to perform a dance number to her hit, “Let’s Get Loud.” The kids, whose teachers say don’t really understand how famous she is, were only recently introduced to the song by their teacher Kathy Amati and paraprofessional [Ed: A fancy word for teacher’s aid, we suppose.] Rose Mondella. They had such enthusiasm for the video that they wrote letters to let Jennifer know about the performance.
While their teachers were only hoping for a few pictures or maybe even an autograph, the students always expected more.
“From the minute we wrote the letters, they just automatically thought she would come,” Ms. Amati said.
This is so touching we are going to get loud right here in the office. And we’re going back to school, just so we can stay in it.
