So R. Kelly was just acquitted of all 14 child porn charges by a Chicago jury that deliberated the case for less than a day. This during the same week that HBO released the Roman Polanski documentary Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired that had Jezebel editors declaring there really is a gray area when it comes to a 13 year-old being drugged, raped and sodomized by a 43 year-old man (Polanski–who confessed.) You know, because she’d had sex before and knew what a Quaalude was. As for the R. Kelly case:

The prosecution’s star witness was a woman who said she engaged in three-way sex with Kelly and the girl from the video. [A girl said to have been as young as thirteen, six years ago when the incident occurred.] Defense attorneys argued the man on the tape didn’t have a large mole on his back, as Kelly does.

That may not have been R. Kelly on the tape, but it is pretty widely documented that dude likes the little girls. Much as Polanski confessed in an interview featured in the HBOfilm. “I like young women. I think most men do.” Is thirteen the new young woman?
