Audacious Presidential hopeful Barack Obama has hired former Hillary Clinton’s former campaign manager, Patti Solis Doyle, in a move of cunning political strategery:

Miss Solis Doyle is the most prominent Hispanic figure in the Obama campaign. She will help reach a core of voters whose resistance to Mr Obama cost him victory in Texas and Nevada. They also form a sizeable chink of electorates in the swing states of Colorado, New Mexico and Florida in November.

Mr Obama has already increased the number of women in his senior staff, after criticism that his inner circle presented a rather macho posture to the world. His chief spokeswoman is now a woman.

Hiring Solis Doyle is meant to attract women, Hispanics and former Hillary supporters, all in one fell swoop. Swoop! Major swoopage!

We realize politics is basically a game, and that people are switched and hired and fired in an attempt to woo voters, but we can’t personally see how hiring a Latino or a female makes a candidate more likable to Latinos or females instead of just someone who, you know. Is angling for votes. Not that there’s anything wrong with that! We don’t give two runny cacas anyway, since our favorite candidate is too busy drowning herself in a tiny bathtub to campaign any longer.
