As You Read This, Middle America Is Learning About The Shocker
For some unknown reason, the term, “The Shocker” is the number one Google search item in America today with a hot topic rating of “volcanic,” the hottest level given on Google Trends. Which very well may mean your tía or abuela are googling it as we write. For those not in the know, we’ll borrow the very illustrative words of Wikipedia:
The gesture refers to the act of inserting the index and middle fingers into a vagina and the little finger into the unwitting anus, hence the “shock”.
“Unwitting anus,” is the name of our new band. Also, all this Shocker talk got us thinking (in our very best Carrie Bradshaw internal voice): Do Latino couples engage in The Shocker? And if they do, do they call it something more ethnic? Like El Choqueador? Please discuss.

when a coworker came in today she said she just heard something on the radio about a mom who asked her daughter to explain what the shocker is. since neither of us wanted to be the one to explain it to a third co-worker who apparently didn’t know, i guess we contributed to the google ratings.

i just know of “el six-pack” in which you use the thumb and the index and/or middle finger as you would hold a six-pack of beer and then you try to lift the… i think you get the idea…
