A body discovered by tugboat workers somewhere off the Atlantic may belong to a Brazilian priest who strapped himself to a chair attached to 1,000 helium-filled balloons. Adelir Antonio de Caril was attempting to raise money to build a spiritual center / rest stop for truck drivers that would bring a new and beautiful meaning to the term “glory hole.” Unfortunately, he went missing sometime after his take-off.
DNA tests still need to be done to verify the body as his, although the presence of several deflated balloons nearby may just be a giveaway. It’s extremely doubtful that Carli, who went adrift in April, will be recovered alive.
If there was a patron saint of dangerous stunts, we’d be praying to her right now. With the feeling that she would also be the patron saint of carnies and roadside rest stops. No?

Um…okay, wait…
This is like the Mad-Libs of news stories. You were given the words, “Brazil,” “priest,” “balloons,” and “trucker,” and this is what you came up with. (I would’ve added “stripper,” “Sergio Mendes,” and “whipped cream” for smooth transitions, but that’s just me.)
Um…okay, wait…if he “launched” in April, why are they only now starting to suspect that he “flight” might not have been successful? I need some whipped cream…
