Friday Fourth of July Flatchback: Ricardo Arjona, “Si El Norte Fuera El Sur”

This week’s very special Fourth of July-themed Friday Flatchback is a video by Guatemalan artist Ricardo Arjona performing his 1996 hit, “Si El Norte Fuera El Sur,” from the album of the same name. In addition to giving us a rare look at how Latin Americans see the United States, Arjona has fun imaging what Latin America would be like if, as the song’s title suggests, the north were somehow in the south.

Go Arjona, fellow Guatemalan!
FYI. When America was discovered, maps were made in such way that the South was on top.
