La Pequeña Ingrid Betancourt Does Her Happy Dance
8 July 2008, 1:45 PM. By Daniel Mauser
Unbridled enthusiasm and naïvité or tacky exploitation of a serious event for self-promotion? We’re not sure we can tell when it comes to La Pequeña Ingrid Betancourt. So, instead, we’ll sit in stunned silence and wonder where one might perchance purchase such a tiny camouflage vest. Don’t get us wrong, we too would be dancing jubilantly after six years of being a Farc hostage in a mosquito-ridden jungle. But we’d keep the resulting video footage of it strictly for Live Journal audiences. That shit’s private.

How can I explain the enrichment I’ve received here?
La pequeña Amy Winehouse was just social commentary (and daring dance moves), but La pequeña Ingrid Betencourt is a friggin’ National Geographical special!
Kudos to LaPeq for the simulated captivity sequence.
