Venezuelan President and tiny, little roller Hugo Chavez is flying to Spain next week as part of a European tour to meet up with Prime Minister José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero and (heh-heh) King Juan Carlos. You might recall the King sort of lost his temper with Huey last fall during the Iberian Summit when he essentially told him to shut the fuck up. (Okay, we added the “fuck,” part but we’re sure it was intended.) The incident set off a whole media shitstorm in Spain that included dance remixes and ringtones. You know, the usual international diplomacy hullabaloo.

When the two meet in Palma de Mallorca next Friday as part of Chavez’ European tour, it will be the first time they’ve seen each other since that day. Awko tacos for two, anybody? Zapatero got the unpleasantness out of the way when he saw Chavez in May at a Summit in Lima where, according to the Spanish press, the two exchanged “an icy greeting.” We feel for the King. We’ve yet to run into Huey since we started this blog and, let us tell you, if we see him first, that will continue to be the policy.
