Republicans Discover "Humor," Launch "BarackBook"

barackbook.png

This just in. The Republican National Committee has launched a parody social networking site called Barackbook to expose web users to some of Barack Obama’s political associations. A press release from the RNC was published two hours ago:

The social networking site highlights some of Barack Obama’s notable associations throughout stages of his career, including his relationships with Tony Rezko, Nadhmi Auchi, and Alexi Giannoulias. Leveraging the popularity of social networking sites, BarackBook allows voters to explore Obama’s connections with these individuals as well as their connections to one another using video and news articles
.
BarackBook will be updated routinely between now and Election Day with additional, new Obama “friends.” Users can receive automated updates or invite others to view BarackBook by installing the Facebook application here.

It’s humor! From Republicans! See, Barack is already invoking change. Some ha-ha highlights include Barack’s status which reads, “Barack is hoping to settle on an Iraq policy before November.” And his friends! A motley crew, indeed.

Is this supposed to turn us off Barack or make us want to vote for Marilyn?
