Roselyn Sanchez Won’t Be Having A Wedding Registry. Probably Cuz She’s Rich.

In lieu of wedding gifts like tacky candelabras or tacky crystal vases or tacky crystal candelabras that double as vases and play “Wind Beneath My Wings,” marginally famous person Roselyn Sanchez is asking for San Jorge Children Research Foundation, which benefits sick children. Aw! That’s sweet. Almost sweet enough to make us want to completely ignore her selfless request and buy her a really nice wedding present.
A few suggestions, after the jump:
A box. With some flowers in it. Because, let’s face it. It’s not like we particularly care or are happy for you.
A plate with some drawings. At this point, we’re not even trying. We realize you have no use for this, it doesn’t match your decor and it’s not remotely close to anything you would ever think of asking for, but we kind of put off getting a gift.
A box. Of meat. Because you probably won’t getting much of either for a while.

You know, I was kind of lukewarm about non-celebrity roselyn sanchez until her name came up during a discussion of race. Apparently “fellow Mexicans” really identify with Roselyn, who is a “role model for Latino youth”, according to one very very very clueless White person. The fact that Roselyn is Puerto Rican (I googled her) and is a virtual unknown with little to no acting or singing credits to her name (apparently she was in that run-away hit, Chasing Papi) just didn’t figure here, I guess. I wanted to stab myself right there. This Roselyn person must have convinced some white people that she is famous enough to garner a neutrogena cntract and other product endorsements, despite being virtually unknown in any community ever. I just don’t get it.
