George Michael has no idea what Barack Obama will do to bring change to America should he win the presidential race, but that didn’t stop him from recommending the Senator pick Hillary Clinton as his running mate for ‘08. And it really didn’t stop Reuters from running a two-page history of George Micheal as filler for the rest of the “article.”
Michael, whose given name is Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou, ran into trouble with police in Beverly Hills, California, in 1998 when he was arrested for engaging in a lewd act in a public restroom.
Hey, that’s relevant! Or Republican.
George Michael’s tip for Obama — run with Clinton [Reuters]

Seriously, that Reuters article made no sense.

I saw George Michael at an art gallery in Dallas. He made no sense either.

Maybe he wasn’t loitering in that Beverly Hills men’s room. Maybe he just needed someone to wake him up … before he went-went.

Listen, I seriously don’t see what a man’s sex life has to do with politics. Do you think that people in politics don’t have a sex life and private peccadilloes? Clinton had that episode? JFK & Ms Monroe? We know Bush had a drinking problem? That bathroom incident was over 10 years ago, get over it.
Quite frankly I have a lot more respect for George Michael’s political views than I ever had for that guy in the white house. George Michael was the first man out of the trenches campaigning against the invasion of Iraq. At the time he was crucified in the American press who labaled him as anti-American. With hindsight, can you honestly say he was wrong? Opps..huge mistake that cost America lots of lives and lots of money.
Now. Obama the man who promises change. Change is a catchy word after having that creature in White House for a decade but can you explain what change is Obama talking about…exactly? I like the guy, he speaks well but he’s too vague. I would feel much more assured with Hillary as vice-president. I know where she’s coming from! I think George Michael makes a lot of sense, actually!

Laitn_Princess - that art gallery was probably his gallery. George Michael owns an impressive contemporary art collections estimate to be worth US$250 million. He recently turn the gallery into an art foundation Goss Michael Foundation gossmichaelfoundation.org, supporting young artists, offering courses and workshops and scholarships. What is it that doesn’t make sense? I’d be happy to help you understand.

It’s telling how you used that old WHAM pic of George Michael to re-enforce the homophobia that follows with your out of date news that he was arrested in Beverly Hills some 10 years ago now. Shame on you. Tut tut.
Julia is right, George Michael was the only global celebrity to speak out against Iraq at a time when it wasn’t cool to do so. But here we are 7 years down the line and correct me if I’m wrong but wasn’t he talking a lot of sense back then? I think so
I got the feeling when this all goes off, they’re gonna shoot the dog, they’re gonna shoot the dog
woof!
