





On the same day that People magazine debuted photographs of transgendered dad Thomas Beatie and his daughter Susan Juliette, at least 200 people gathered at a church in Brighton, Colorado to mourn the murder of transgendered 18 year-old Angie Zapata. Zapata was found by her sister, beaten to death, in her Greeley, Co apartment last week. Her family believes she was murdered because she was living as a woman. Police say they don’t have enough evidence yet to declare it a hate crime, but are not ruling it out.
