Michael Jordan had dinner at Michael's Genuine Food and Drink Thursday night with his girlfriend, Yvette Prieto, who requested a private table for the two. They drank bottled water; he had filet of mutton snapper and she had steak au poivre.They're so totally getting married and making babies. Yvette seems to be building a nice little track record of guys she's dating / speculated to be dating - she's Julio Iglesias, Jr.'s ex-girlfriend. Cheesy photographic evidence, after the jump:

I must say there's a lot of haters commenting michael jordan and yvette prieto, but anyways, all I can say is that they are great together and been going out for years now. Another thing i have no clue what these reporters are saying about, but let me correct all these dumb reporters, they have been going on diner dates more then once, probably even more then the reporters themselves. Another thing, color has nothing to do with love and honestly thats what they have for each other love not lust "LOVE." And I am very proud to be one of the lucky few people that have witness their great love for one another. I support them in every way and love them both deeply.

I read Dewayne"the Rock" Johnson's book when recalled how his ex-wife's family did not accept him in the beginning because he was half-black. you're in denial! besides, even though Yvette maybe color-blind, MJ is. These days people love who they want to love, be it for whatever reason, no one is looking for approval unless there's some type of inheritance involved. Michael is single and whatever he prefers, or starts to love is his business. Cubans, afro-cubans are just like every other race, some who remain close minded have a problem with black afro-american, who really gives a dang? According to an article posted by Florida Department of Financial Services, Maria and Carlos Prieto set up a fraudulent business and stole millions of dollars from the public. ReplyIt is true that many "white" Cubans have racist views. But it stems from ignorance of their heritage and ancestry. It also stems from the colonial eliticism and racism inflicted on the native tenao indians and african slaves brought to the island. Those colonist viewpoints are still prevalent among "white" cubans today. The ironic thing is that they embrace to the point of bragging about the food, music, dress, and curvy bodies that come from the african heritage. They also talk about the beauty of the island and its people but don't realize that the island is made up of 85% cubans from african ancestry. I'm not offended by the racism because its their too ignorant to be mad at. I feel more sorry for them than anything. What's strange is that closed ignorant mindset seems to be a much bigger issue with cubans than the other spanish colonized islands and many south american countries. Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic are much more understanding of their heritage and embrace there african ancestry. I wonder why? As for Yvette, she's obviously not of pure spaniard ancestry. So is it really interracial or is it an intercultural relationship...?

ALL of Caribbean history is plagued with racism against darker skin. It IS a different dynamic than in the United States where anyone with some physical manifestation of African ancestry is considered black by the whites and a "brutha" or "sista" by the blacks. In the Caribbean this is completely different. Dominicans in fact, have had a long, crude history of racism particularly towards their neighbors the Haitians as well as towards their own darker skinned citizens. Moreover, Haitians themselves have one of the most racially divided societies in the Caribbean, Yes, Haitians range from pure West African "black" to "white" as racial mixing and immigration from the Middle East, North Africa, France and Spain caused many Haitians to look phenotypically "white". Cubans and Puerto Ricans are no different from any of these other places no matter what a hip-hop MC might have said. The thing is that in the U.S. ALL of these people are categorized as Hispanics and therefore considered people of color. That's all.

If anything I think Cubans are more proud than Puerto Ricans and Dominicans who keep calling themselves Spanish. What they failed to realized is that Spain wouldn't never considered as Spanish and the Spaniards can be very towards their old slaves who live in Spain. You can go to youtube and see how some Spanish treats their immigrants from South America and other Spanish speaking countries. Again you don't know what your talking about. Dominicans suffered from major self hate, they reject anything that remind them of Africa and love everything that remind them of Spain. This is why they treat their neighbor(Haitians) so bad is because they Haitians are mainly dark and proud of their African heritage. Their old dictator Truillo I know spelling is wrong, but anyways he accepted an influx of Jews in the D.R. because they were White and he wanted to lighten the population.
