Crafty Chica Will Teach You To Dress Your Laptop In A Lovely Guayabera Bag
27 August 2008, 10:30 AM. By Guanabee Staff
Kathy Cano-Murillo, otherwise known as Crafty Chica, has designed this cool drawstring, guayabera, laptop bag and will teach you how to make it yourself on her website. (We think it would make a cool purse, too, no?) We’ve been fans of Kathy’s since we first found her on MySpace a hundred years ago and we recently learned her line of Latin inspired craft supplies has been picked up by Michael’s for a three month run. So if you, like Wendy Williams and Rosie O’Donnel, are a crafter and you want to see more stuff like this available in the mainstream, get your ass down to Michael’s and patronize an hermana. First project: make us this bag!

Love this post! And I loooooove Crafty Chica!! I have been a fan for years! In 2003, I used her directions to make a LoterĂa luminaria for my new house and over the years it has been quite a conversation piece. Not because the luminaria is well done (I’m not as crafty as I would like) but because Kathy was clever enough to create it.
I guess it’s time to procrastinate on my homework and focus on making this laptop bag. It’s way cute!
Yay, you just made my whole day!!! I made it on Guanabee!! Thank you!!! Next time I find a cool shirt, I will make you a bag!!!!
