Dia De Los Muertos: Isaac Hayes Has Left The Building

First Bernie Mac, now Isaac Hayes. The world got a lot less cool this weekend. Sixty-five year-old Isaac Hayes was found by family members today at his home around 1:00 PM local time in Memphis, Tennessee. He was lying unconscious beside his still moving treadmill. He was pronounced dead later at East Baptist Hospital. Hayes who was most recently known for his role as Chef on South Park most famously recorded the theme to the 1970’s blacksploitation film Shaft and was generally considered to be the king of soul.
