Okay, okay. Last weekeend we went off on the uselessness of the Olympics and sports in general. And we assure you that this is a policy we adherently stick to unless one of two things are involved: a) tailgating or b) homeboys (or girls.) And since we totes don’t watch ESPN, like ever, we had no idea until tonight that the boys of team Matamoros A.C. of Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico are playing in the Little League World Series International Championship final game tomorrow in Williamsport, Pennsylvania at 12:30 p.m. eastern (televised on ABC) against undefeated Tokyo.

The undefeated Mexican team, who come from the town across the border from Guanabee editor Cindy Casares’ hometown of Brownsville, Texas, beat the team from Maraicabo, Venezuela on Thursday to advance to the championship game. So, in this rare instance, Cindy will be at the bar come game time fulfilling the tailgating part of this auspicious occasion and screaming until she’s hoarse. For tonight, enjoy a video featuring 13 year-old Jesus “Chuy” Sauceda who pitched the fifth perfect game in Little League World Series history, and the first in 29 years, to secure a 12-0 win for Mexico over Emilia, Italy last week. And below, the entire team introduces themselves and makes us want to adopt every single one of them. Hasta maƱana, beisboleros. A la bim, a la bam, a la bim-bom-bam! Mexico! Mexico! Ra! Ra! RA!
