Friday Flatchback: Let’s Have A Big Make Out Sesh With Juan Gabriel And Some Other Dudes
15 August 2008, 7:30 PM. By Guanabee Staff
We’ve been obsessed with the song, “Te Lo Pido Por Favor,” all week. So obsessed that we couldn’t decide whether to post the original Juan Gabriel version or the Jaguares version or the grupo Pesado version. So, we posted ALL. DAMN. THREE. The original, above, is from 1986’s “Pensamientos” and is guaranteed to make you want to love on somebody. Plus, hot damn, Juan Gabriel is THE FIERCEST. After the jump, Jaguares’ 2002 Rock En Español version won them many kudos, despite their silly hair, as it is a fine, surprisingly peppy tribute. And finally, cry in your beer and stomp your botas to a live, Norteña version from Pesado recorded in 2005 at the Fiestas Del Sol in Mexicali, Baja California. We really can’t choose a favorite. (Though we’re kind of leaning toward Pesado at this late hour.) Which is the mark of a great song. Enjoy. We’re off to find that beer.

viva méxico CABRONES.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I always knew when my parents were having marital problems when my mother would listen to Juan Gabriel all day. Even now I can still hear her singing along to “Hasta Que Te Conoci”. Of course add a few choice words to it.
