For many people living in South Florida, malls are often the best entertainment option: They’re free to enter, are usually air-conditioned, contain bathrooms, sell pizza and are full of teenagers. Delish! Mall of the Americas, however, goes the extra mile by growing veritable forests of marijuana. Bro, we know where we’re hanging out this weekend, right dog?:

The marijuana plants were being grown in a hydroponics operation in a second-floor storage area, Central Florida News 13 reported Sunday.

The plants were 3-6 feet tall, the Miami TV station said.

That’s taller than most boys in Miami!

Those responsible for growing the illegal crop were still at large. The mall’s management was said to be cooperating with the investigation.

File this under “Unsurprising.” Mall of the Americas is basically the trashiest mall in both Dade and Broward counties. It’s entirely comprised of 99 cent stories and kiosks selling belly chains and “Tomy Hilfinger” tank tops.
