Last week the Barack Obama presidential campaign announced it was setting aside $20 million to target and mobilize Hispanic voters. Apparently the first money spent was to hire comedian George Lopez to persuade those of you in swing states like Nevada, Colorado, New Mexico and Florida to vote Barack. G-Lo took the stage at a voter registration rally in Las Vegas Saturday to say that he’s for Obama and if you are too, that’s great. If not, eres masputo just get out and vote. Which is better than when he called white kids “little bolios” in El Paso. (You know you want to see that. Video after the jump!)
Reporters attending the event in Las Vegas also found a roofer to interview, (Guess all the Latino lawyers were at the bar—and not the state bar! Thank you, we’re here all week.), who said that G-Lo’s endorsement might work since, “Every Latino watches his show.” Is that true? We personally never did until this summer’s drought of endlessly bad reruns finally left us desperate enough to dip our toe in the G-Lo water. Damn you, Nick-at-Nite. Below, check out a video of George espousing his political beliefs before the Texas primaries back in February (which Obama eventually went on to lose to Clinton, so that was effective.)

Bolio’s is a type of bread roll at least that’s what it usually is.

In my neck of the woods, bolio/bolia is what we call White people. And Jessica Alba.

@Gwenny: Bolio is a white dinner roll. Hence it is the Chicano equivalent of “white bread.”
